Operations Manager – CLEAR Registered Traveler, SLC

 

In 2005, Verified Identity Pass, Inc. launched CLEAR®, the Nation's first privately-run Registered Traveler program.  Now in our third year of operation, Clear has received rave reviews from members for our ground-breaking service and attention to customers. 

 

We are seeking an Operations Manager for our recently launched operations at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for local operations, adherence to established procedures, process improvement, staff development, and customer service.  In addition, the Operations Manager will serve a key role as Verified Identity Pass’ local liaison with the Transportation Security Administration, the Airport Authority, local government, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Management of customer-facing operations in a 365-day environment
  2. Liaison with local Airport Authority, TSA, and other government entities
  3. Identify opportunities, propose changes, and implement solutions for continual process and service improvement
  4. Support, implement, evaluate and document hardware and procedural trials
  5. Provide regular operations updates to senior management
  6. Capture and analysis of metrics related to operations processes
  7. Communicate procedure/policy changes to supervisors and staff
  8. Staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and scheduling
  9. Ensure that outstanding customer service, security, and consumer privacy are maintained throughout operations

 

Education/Training/Experience/Skills:

  1. A graduate degree in management, operations, hospitality or related field
  2. Minimum of 10 years management experience in customer-facing operations, preferably in hospitality or retail
  3. 7-10 years experience managing staff in a customer service, hospitality, retail, or other operations environment required
  4. Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  5. Proven ability to identify and act on opportunities for process and service improvement
  6. Excellent problem-solving and verbal communication skills
  7. Familiarity with common PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  8. Airport/Airline experience required
  9. Willingness to work weekends and holidays
