Air France To Launch Clear® Registered Traveler At JFK's Terminal 1

NEW YORK – Clear® Registered Traveler, Air France and Terminal 1 today announced plans to launch the Clear program at Terminal 1 at JFK next month. All airlines operating from Terminal 1, and their customers, will be able to take advantage of the Clear program. Air France, which will sponsor Clear in Terminal 1, will also market the program to its customers across the United States.

The registered traveler program allows business travelers and other frequent fliers to pay an annual fee of $99.95 and provide background information about themselves to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for pre-screening and, if approved, they will receive a biometric identity card that will give them expedited access through airport security checkpoints.

"Air France continues to look for ways to provide our customers with quality products and services that enhance their travel experience and Clear is yet another way we can achieve this goal," said General Manager and Vice President Air France U.S.A. Marie-Joseph Malé.

"Terminal 1 and Air France are delivering a real benefit to its customers," said Clear founder and CEO Steven Brill. "No matter where the traveler flies, he or she will know that Air France gave them access to the RT lane."

About Verified Identity Pass and Clear™

Verified Identity Pass's Clear Registered Traveler is the first privately run registered traveler program operating at U.S. airports. Clear has been operational since July 19, 2005, at Orlando International Airport and has over 35,000 members. In January, Clear is expanding its network with a launch at JFK Terminal 7 and San José, Indianapolis and Cincinnati International Airports. Clear has an agreement with Toronto Pearson International Airport to operate a Canadian program, working with Canadian authorities. Clear's verification kiosk, co-developed with Verified Identity Pass's partner GE, with shoe scanning technology can allow members in the Clear lanes to keep their shoes on as they pass through the security checkpoint.
