Clear® Registered Traveler and Air France Open Online Enrollment for JFK Terminal 1.
NEW YORK – Clear and Air France announced today the opening of online enrollment for the Clear program at JFK Terminal 1.
Clear allows business travelers and other frequent fliers to pay a fee ($99.95) to be pre-screened by the TSA and receive a biometric identity card that provides them with expedited passage through airport security checkpoints. Clear is expected to open its lanes to JFK Terminal 1 passengers in March 2007. JFK Terminal 1 serves a dozen other airlines in addition to Air France. Any traveler who meets the minimum qualifications can enroll in the program no matter what airline they fly.
Applicants can begin the membership enrollment process at www.flyclear.com to use Clear at New York JFK International Airport Terminal 1, as well as at JFK Terminal 7, and San Jose, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Orlando International Airports.
About Verified Identity Pass and Clear®
Verified Identity Pass's Clear Registered Traveler is the first privately run registered traveler program operating at U.S. airports. Clear has been operational since July 19, 2005, at Orlando International Airport and has over 36,000 members. Last month, Clear expanded its network with launches at JFK Terminal 7 and San José, Indianapolis and Cincinnati International Airports; and, in March, will open programs at JFK's Terminal 1 and Newark's Terminal B. In addition, Clear has an agreement with Toronto Pearson International Airport to operate a Canadian program, working with Canadian authorities. Clear's verification kiosk, co-developed with Verified Identity Pass's partner GE, with shoe scanning technology can allow members in the Clear lanes to keep their shoes on as they pass through the security checkpoint. www.flyclear.com.
